I don’t know the going rate of service fees for diagnosing issues with appliances but $220 seems steep. Otherwise I love the guys who come out and how friendly they are. They always leave my home exactly the way they found it. They’re very thorough and transparent. They are honest when you need a new appliance instead of starting to sell you an expensive fix to your broken one!
Excellent service!!

LG dryer made a humming noise for a cycle. I was not able to replicate the noise or find any physical evidence of what would be causing that noise. Keep an eye on the dryer. If the noise comes back, take a video so I can hear it.

Whirlpool cabrio top load washer is either displaying a F51 error or a F1 error back to back during the agitation portion of the cycle. I was not able to reproduce the issue but I did find that the rotor bolt was loose so that may have been causing a F51 error code to occur. I tightened the bolt with loctite. Keep an eye on the washer.

Samsung dryer is shutting off after about 15 minutes of running even on timed dry. Inside of dryer feels very moist and hot even though it is not overloaded. I determined the dryer is not the issue, it is the exhaust duct for the dryer that leads to the side of the house. There is no wall vent cap for the dryer. Only a hole and a wire screen. The wire screen built up with lint and is creating a wall so when airflow from the dryer hits it, it retreats back in to the dryer along with the moisture. That caused water to accumulate in the dryer vent tube that connects the dryer to the exhaust duct. The airflow at that point cannot escape past the water and will stay fully stuck in the dryer causing it to overheat and shut down to prevent a fire.

Samsung dryer will power on and off, you cannot even start a cycle. Customer had a power outage and that is when the issue started. I reset the dryer and it started to work. If the issue comes back, most likely the electronic boards were damaged and will need to be replaced.

Thermidor professional range top left burner keeps clicking right two burners won’t click on at all and the oven doesn’t the hold temperature I looked at the range and determined that it needs three potentiometers a broil element and the temperature control parts are no longer available.

Samsung dryer. The dryer was staying on after the cycle was complete and showing a box made of dashes on the display with a blinking wrinkle prevent light on. The lint filter would not go all the way down. I explained to the customer that the wrinkle prevent option was on, which would keep the dryer tumbling without heat for a certain amount of time to avoid wrinkles in the clothing. I showed the customer how to turn it off so it would not do that anymore. A part of the lint filter had broken off due to wear and tear and jammed itself in the lint chute. This caused the lint filter to stick out and prevented the door from closing. I opened up the dryer and removed the broken piece along with cleaning out the lint chute of caked up lint. The filter now goes down all the way.

Whirlpool Top Load Washer is continuously draining and will not start a cycle properly. I determined the pressure sensor on the main control board has failed. The main control board will need to be replaced. Informed customer there is a service bulletin on this issue and that if the serial number is within the specified range on the bulletin Whirlpool will cover parts and labor to fix the issue. There washer is within that serial range. Call Whirlpool and have them fix the issue.

Kenmore elite dryer is not producing heat. Determined the thermal fuse tripped most likely due to overheating. Customer thinks he may have caused it due to running heavy items back to back. Reset thermal fuse and tested dryer. Dryer is now working as intended. If the issue persist, I would recommend we replace the thermal fuse. Make sure to have maintenance come out and clean the dryer vent to make sure that is not causing the issue as well.

Samsung Front Load Washer is continuously filling up with hot water even when the machine is off. They have to turn off the hot water supply at the wall to get the water to stop. I determined the hot water inlet valve inside of the washer has failed and is sticking open even when it’s supposed to close. Replace hot water inlet valve and tested washer. Washer is working as intended.
