UPDATE Feb 2025: This time the very very old dryer started squeaking which is not a good sound. I called and got repair setup for the next day. Problem was the internal belt and rollers had finally worn out. Which was repaired and now back in operation with squeaking gone. Posted new photos. Jimmy provided lots of info what needed to be done and cleaned up inside outside area. Well Done!

Frigidaire front load washer will not start- The the door lock was broken along with the door striker. I replaced the door lock and door striker, and the washer is now working as intended.

Whirlpool dryer- dryer is producing a loud grinding noise as it runs. I found the 2 support rollers were seizing and being forced to spin. I replaced the maintenance kit which includes the rollers that way the dryer lasts a while.

Kenmore top load washer- washer fills with water but after it’s done filling it will not agitate. It only makes a buzzing sound. I found that the motor coupler that connects to the transmission side shaft slipped out of place over the years and was causing the drive motor to jam up. I adjusted the motor coupler back into place and now the washer is working as intended.

Maytag Neptune dryer- dryer is making a high pitched sound while running. I opened up the dryer and determined that one of the rollers is seizing up and causing noise as it is forced to spin. I replaced both of the rollers and the drive belt to get the dryer running for a while longer. Tested dryer and it is sounding as intended.

Ge dryer- dryer timer knob is not clicking when turning anymore and they cannot start a cycle. I determined the timer knob broke and is free spinning on the timer shaft as it is being turned. The timer knob will need to be replaced to fix the issue.

Whirlpool dryer- dryer has turns on but will not rotate the drum. I determined the drive belt broke. I replaced the maintenance kit that includes the drive belt in it. Tested dryer and now it is working as intended.

Maytag performa top load washer- washer is making a weird noise and has now stopped before the spin and makes a buzzing noise along with producing an electrical burning smell. I have determined the bearings on the drain pump are failing and seizing up when the washer tries to drain and spin. That is causing the drive motor to seize up and produce a burning smell. We will need to replace the drain pump assembly. There may be other issues but we will not know until the drain pump assembly is replaced.

Whirlpool top load washer- washer is making a loud noise during the agitation cycle. I determined the transmission shaft is starting to drop and is not allowing the pulley and clutch to properly interlock causing a loud gears slipping noise during the agitation. We will need to replace the transmission and clutch assembly to fix the issue.

Whirlpool duet dryer- dryer runs but will not heat. I found the thermostats blew due to the heating element overheating. From what I can tell the dryer exhaust duct that leads to the outside was packed with lint and partially crushed causing a lack of airflow to the outside. That will lead to back pressure and cause the dryer to overheat. I would also recommend to replace the heating element due to the stress the overheating may have caused it.

Amana top load washer made by speed queen- washer is producing a knocking noise during the final spin. I determined the transmission shaft is getting loose and allowing a knocking noise to be produced during the spin cycle. I also found the drive belt is worn out and will need to be replaced as well. The drive belt comes in a kit with the drain pump. Customer has declined to repair.

Maytag top load washer- washer leaked water when washing a couple of towels towards the drain and spin part of the cycle. I was not able to reproduce the leaking water with or without towels inside of the washer. I did however notice during the draining portion the standpipe where the washer drains in to sounded like it was about to start overflowing with water. It may be backing up and leaking on to the floor. I would recommend you call a plumber and have them come out and make sure the standpipe is clear of any clogs.

Ge top load washer- washer is not draining the water out of the tub. I determined the drain pump motor is failing and not kicking on. We will need to replace the drain pump assembly to fix the issue.

Kenmore 80 series top load washer- washer makes a loud noise during the spin cycle and the clothes come out wet at the end. I determined the motor coupler that connects the motor to the transmission broke. Since it broke, it is just free spinning as the motor shaft and causing the loud noise and the lack of spinning. I replaced the motor coupler and now the washer is working as intended.

Whirlpool dryer- customer used to have her dryer connected to water for the steam function to work but one day it started leaking from the inlet hoses according to the plumber so he removed the dryer steam connection. She wants to have it connected back. I installed a new stainless steel braided dryer steam kit and tested the dryer.

Samsung top load washer- customer tried to use the washer on Monday morning and it started the cycle but when he came back he saw it would get to 24 minutes then restart the cycle at 37 minutes. That happened multiple times until he cancelled the cycle. He did receive an error message but he does not remember what it was. I ran a cycle and could not reproduce the issue. Keep an eye on the washer and if the issue persists, give us a call back out. Do take a video of the error message and inside of the tub so I can see what is happening. Service fee is good for one week from today.

Samsung front load washer- washer is displaying a SD error message during the cycle and will not drain the water out of the tub. Removed a sock and kids toys that was clogging the inside of the tub to pump hose and was preventing the water from draining out of the tub. Tested the washer on diagnostic mode and now the washer is working as intended.

Whirlpool top load washer- washer is leaving clothes wet at the end of the cycle. I found that the drain pump was making an odd noise like something was loose and when running the draining test the water drained out slow. I went down below and removed the tub to pump hose and the drain pump and found 2 things. One is on the side where the hose connects to the outer tub a mask was stuck in the coin trap filter. I removed the mask. The second thing I found was a little black screw inside of the pump housing. Removed the screw. The screw did cause damage to the fins on the drain pump impeller. That will affect the draining power of the pump.

Samsung top load washer- washer leaked quite a bit of water during the freeze when they tried to use it. They waited a couple of days then tried it again and it leaked again but not as much as the first time. I ran the washer multiple times on different temperatures to try and reproduce the leaking. I was not able to reproduce the leaking. Most likely what happened is the standpipe froze and overflowed during the draining part of the cycle. I did also find the washer is making a loud noise when it agitates and spins, but according to the customer that has been going on for years. That is going to be the gear case wearing out and eventually will get worse.

I was called to a home to repair a GE Monogram stove that was making a taping noise randomly. After inspecting the appliance, I determined that the damper was faulty. I replaced the damper and tested the appliance to ensure it was functioning properly. The customer was satisfied with the repair and thanked me for my help.

Kenmore elite front load washer- they washed a heavier load and when they came back to check on the washer the door was open. They tried to close the door but it does not latch anymore. I determined the door latch broke due to the washer getting off balance and putting too much pressure on the door. The main reason the washer got off balance is because a couple of the shock absorbers are broken down below and the other two are barely doing anything. To fix the washer we will need to replace all four shock absorbers along with the door latch.

Maytag top load washer- washer is leaking about a cup of water during the cycle. The washer is not at fault, it is the standpipe backing up where the washer drains in to. Call a plumber to come out and address the issue.
